Nikon D50 Images
Compiled here are links to noteworthy image samples shot with the Nikon D50 digital SLR camera. Most of the images will be resized for web browsing and possibly retouched, but you'll get a pretty good idea of what D50 owners are shooting with their equipment. Where applicable, there'll be an indication that the link points to unprocessed, full-sized images straight from the camera. Click on the links to view a larger version of the images plus read the related information. Nice spiders, but to me, the water droplets really make the picture. Kevin also shares his technique and elaborate setup for shooting the macro images - the important point being the use of extension tubes to obtain the huge magnification. | |

Very nice indoor basketball series by Brad Waldera - view larger images and technique used here and here. Brad put the Nikon D50 in Manual Mode, f/1.8 aperture, AF-C (continuous Autofucs), 1/400 sec., 800 ISO, Matrix Metering, Dynamic Focus, and Auto White Balance. No flash was used. I like his monochrome postprocessing too. He shot the images in RAW mode, used Photoshop Elements 5 and the plug in "Virtual Photographer" by OpticVerve Labs for the effects (source).
